Vote! - July 2, Budget Proposal
Thompson Voters, please join me and Vote Yes on July 2, to
maintain level funding for 2026!
As you know, 2 previous votes have recently taken place regarding next year’s budget. Each of those earlier votes sought a budget increase. Each was voted down. In response to those results, the Board of Finance further reduced the budget. The upcoming July 2, budget proposal keeps the tax revenues flat moving from 2025 to 2026. No increase.
Although individual situations may change, due to the recent revaluation, for
roughly half the taxpayers in Thompson, the combination of the revaluation for their home AND motor vehicles at the proposed rate results in an overall reduction, with the actual tax revenues for the town are virtually the same as 2025.
Vote Yes on July 2! Your vote counts. This is an important issue. Keep our town government in operation, while keeping our taxes down.
